Beijing Tonghe Litai Biotechnology Co., Ltd. is located in the Zhongguancun Medical Device Park and has established China's first animal experiment platform for innovative research and preclinical safety evaluation of medical devices that meets GLP standards. The platform can conduct basic research in life sciences, clinical medical technology research, drug screening and efficacy research, biocompatibility evaluation of medical devices, confirmation research of medical device design, safety and efficacy evaluation of medical devices, training on clinical application promotion of medical devices, basic surgical skills training, and new surgical technology training, among other scientific research and technological services.

The platform comprises a Translational Medicine Research Center, a Model Animal Care Center, a Medical Testing Center, a Biocompatibility Evaluation Center, a Clinical Medicine Training Center, and a Network Information Management Center. The Translational Medicine Research Center is equipped with various operating rooms and is capable of creating animal models for 19 types of diseases. It can provide preclinical evaluation services for various implantable medical devices and active medical devices, serving as an important supporting platform for preclinical trials of surgical robots. The Model Animal Care Center has built a 3000m2 barrier-level model animal care center that meets GLP standards, which can accommodate 300 sheep, 500 miniature pigs, 120 monkeys, 120 beagles, 480 rabbits, and 6500 rats, mice, and guinea pigs simultaneously. The Biocompatibility Evaluation Center, jointly established with Zhongguancun Medical Device Park, can provide toxicological and biocompatibility evaluations, microbiological testing, safety and performance testing for active/passive medical devices, and biocompatibility evaluation services for Class II, Class III, and various types of active medical devices. The Clinical Medicine Training Center can simultaneously conduct 2 interventional surgeries, 20 laparoscopic minimally invasive surgeries, and general surgical procedures. The center is equipped with a multimedia conference hall that can accommodate 300 people and supports 5G network transmission, enabling remote teaching live broadcasts, training rebroadcasts, and more.
